We got SPOOK spirit!

Austin has wanted to be "Dr Jones" for Halloween for about 3 months. Then he decided 2 days before Halloween that he wanted to be Batman. He was determined to have a belt with pockets like Batman but I couldn't find one anywhere so he settled for some yellow fabric with a bat sewn on, good enough!Caleb was a dinosaur, it was easy because I already had the costume. He has started walking everywhere with his little walker, so we let him take it trick-or-treating. That lasted one house and then he just sat in the stroller and ate candy.

Here are the boys after trick-or-treating. Andy dressed up as Glenn Beck. Austin had a huge pile of candy. My kids were soooo grumpy on Sunday. I wonder if it has anything to do with eating tons of candy on Saturday!

Painting pumpkins at Grandma Bruun's house with the grandkids.
We didn't get around to carving pumpkins until the day after Halloween, but at least we did it. Austin was happy!

Snow! Feetsie Jammies! And other randomness!

I can't believe there is snow already in the mountains! It turned cold so fast! But I was excited to finally get the feetsie jammies out again, I love these! Too bad Austin has grown out of them. Actually he's so big he just prefers to dress up as his dad, down to the socks and shoes, funny kid.

It feels like I haven't posted for a really long time. But nothing too big and exciting has happened at our house, just normal life. I feel like I am super busy although those of you with older kids who are in school full time and then play sports or do other after school activities are I'm sure, way busier! Here is our schedule. Mondays Austin has speech therapy at the elementary school. Tuesdays Austin has preschool and then I take Caleb to a play group at Kids on the Move, where we do a little Kindermusik. Wednesdays is a free day where I do laundry and housework. Thursdays is preschool. Friday another free day.
Okay so not really that busy, but I guess it is preparing me for a Kindergardner and a Preschooler next year, and all the years beyond! Anyway now that I've bored everyone to death I will sign off!

P.S Caleb isn't walking yet but is very, very close. Hopefully by Halloween, he will be able to trick-or-treat by himself!

The DERBY!

On Saturday we went to the Demolition Derby with my friend Jessica and her family. It was so much crazy fun! Caleb even sat pretty well for three hours. So if you've never been to a Derby let me tell you what happens. There are four heats and your car has to hit a car every two minutes or you are out. The top two cars from every heat move on to the finals. After the four heats they have powder puff, which was a lot of fun, the girls were crazier than the guys! It was really cool to watch the cars, there were tires flying everywhere, bumpers off, cars stuck together or on top of each other, cars on fire, or pushed over the cement barriers.

Caleb Overload!!

You are my Sunshine

My only sunshine.

You make me happy

When skies are grey.

You'll never know, dear,

How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away!

This song perfectly describes Caleb and his personality. He has been through some big things in his little life, and through it all that big infectious smile has never left his face! Happy Birthday buddy boy!!

WE LOVE YOU!
